HOMETOWN CANDIDATE AMI WAZLAWIK IMPRESSES AT CANDIDATE FORUM

WHITE BEAR TOWNSHIP, MINN. — Last night at the North Oaks City Hall, the local chapter of the League of Women Voters hosted a candidate forum for local political candidates. During the forum, Minnesota House District 38B candidate Ami Wazlawik demonstrated her commitment to serving the community where she was raised, and presented thoughtful solutions to concerns expressed by residents.

The candidate forum surveyed a vast range of policy issues, from early childhood education to the way that the state legislature has approached legislating in the past few sessions.

“I am running for office because I believe that it’s time for a leader to be elected that is community-centered and service-oriented,” said Wazlawik. “Being in the legislature is about serving the community and advancing the public good, for me, it’s not about ego or power or any fancy title, it is about serving the community.”

Throughout the forum, Wazlawik demonstrated her preparation for a wide variety of policy questions. For undecided voters looking for a strong leader who will stand up for them in St. Paul, she put in an excellent forum performance in the same week that early voting opens. Wazlawik and her team of volunteers are excited to push toward election day and relish the  opportunity to continue conversations with residents to hear what they want from their representative in St. Paul.
